My journey into the world of healthcare began with a dream—one that seemed far from reach. Today, after completing my Bachelor’s degree in Medical Imaging Technology with a CGPA of 3.85, I’m proudly working as a Diagnostic Sonographer at Zainab Rafique Hospital, performing a wide range of ultrasounds that directly contribute to patient care.

None of this would have been possible without the support of the Zarina Shamim Scholarship Program (ZSSP).

This scholarship wasn’t just financial aid—it was the foundation that allowed me to pursue higher education without the weight of financial stress. It gave me the space to focus, to learn, and to grow. It gave me freedom—and with that, came purpose.

Throughout my studies, I immersed myself in both theory and clinical training. I developed skills that not only prepared me for the profession but also gave me confidence in my ability to make a real impact. I even worked on a research project that is now progressing toward publication—something I once only dreamed of achieving.

ZSSP didn’t just support my education; it shaped me into who I am today—independent, focused, and driven by gratitude. It gave me the chance to prove that with the right support, anything is possible.

This journey has cultivated resilience and purpose. It taught me how to overcome challenges, believe in myself, and dedicate my skills to helping others. And while graduation marked a milestone, it’s only the beginning of a lifelong commitment to growth, service, and giving back.

Every scan I perform, every patient I assist, carries the echo of a dream made possible by ZSSP. I carry that gratitude with me every single day—and I hope to one day extend the same opportunity to others like me.
