Zarina Shamim Foundation is proud to be certified by the Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy (PCP), recognised by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and registered with the Punjab Charity Commission (PCC). These accreditations demonstrate our commitment to transparency, accountability and high governance standards.

  1. Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy (PCP) – The PCP is an independent support organisation based in Islamabaden.wikipedia.org. It acts as an umbrella body for not‑for‑profit organisations and conducts performance evaluations on behalf of the Federal Board of Revenueen.wikipedia.org. PCP certification assesses an organisation’s governance, finances and social impact and is required for official recognition and tax benefitsen.wikipedia.org. By early 2021 the PCP had certified more than 1,200 organisationsen.wikipedia.org, helping to strengthen donor confidence and promote philanthropy.

  2. Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) – The FBR is Pakistan’s national revenue authority. Under Section 2(36) of the Income Tax Ordinance (2001), not‑for‑profit entities registered as NPOs enjoy income‑tax credits of 20 %–30 % on donations and grantssidekick.pk. To qualify, NGOs must file returns, maintain proper financial records and obtain clearance from the FBR, which includes providing a PCP certificate and audited financial statementssidekick.pk. FBR approval allows donors to claim tax credits and ensures that more resources can be spent on programmes rather than taxessidekick.pk.

  3. Punjab Charity Commission (PCC) – The PCC is a provincial regulatory authority in Punjabcharitycommission.punjab.gov.pk. Charities and NGOs registered under laws such as the Societies Registration Act (1860) or the Companies Act (2017) must also register with the PCCcharitycommission.punjab.gov.pk. The Commission’s online portal provides an ICT‑enabled registration process that minimises human intervention and increases transparencycharitycommission.punjab.gov.pk. Registration ensures that organisations operate legally and enhances public trust in their fundraising.
