After completing my degree in Medical Imaging, a specialized field within Radiology, I stepped into the healthcare world as a Diagnostic Sonographer, performing a wide range of ultrasound procedures in a busy diagnostic setup. My journey began with a heart full of dreams and the support of the Zarina Shamim Scholarship Program (ZSSP), which became the foundation of everything I’ve achieved.

The scholarship didn’t just ease the financial pressure—it changed my life. It allowed me to pursue my studies without the heavy burden on my family and gave me the space to fully immerse myself in learning and growth. During my academic years, I delved deep into the science of imaging, balancing theory with intensive hands-on training. I learned not only the technical skills of ultrasound but also the importance of precision, empathy, and patient-centered care.

ZSSP gave me more than financial support—it gave me confidence, independence, and a deep sense of responsibility. I’ll never forget the moment I received the scholarship; it felt like the world had opened a door just for me.

Upon graduation, I secured a role at a reputable diagnostic center, where I now work as a Sonographer, conducting all types of ultrasounds. The transition from student to professional came with its challenges, but each step strengthened my skills and deepened my commitment to the field.

Every scan I perform is a reminder of how far I’ve come—and how far I still want to go. My ultimate goal is to excel in this field, pursue specializations, and grow into a healthcare professional who not only provides quality care but also inspires others to chase their dreams.

ZSSP has inspired me to give back. I dream of mentoring young students, especially girls from underserved communities, and helping them achieve their goals—just as I was supported.

Education has the power to transform lives, and I am living proof of that. My success is not just my own—it belongs to those who stood by me, believed in me, and gave me the tools to rise. With every patient I serve, I carry forward the legacy of empowerment, hope, and impact that began with a single scholarship.
