The Power of Belief: How Moazma Transformed Her Future

I had always believed that confidence was my greatest weakness. But looking back, I realize that one simple moment of encouragement changed everything.

I was only four years old when I lost my father, leaving my mother financially dependent on our extended family. Watching her struggle, I became determined to achieve financial independence—not just for myself, but for all women who needed to believe in their own strength.

With the support of the Zarina Shamim Scholarship Program (ZSSP), I earned a degree in Electrical Engineering from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST). That opportunity shaped my future, opening doors I never thought possible.

A defining moment in my journey was my ZSSP scholarship interview with Zareen Niazi. When asked about my biggest weakness, I admitted, “I’ve often been told it’s my lack of confidence.” To my surprise, Zareen Niazi smiled and said, “But to me, you seem very confident.” Those words became a turning point in my life.

I started my career as a QA Engineer, but within a year, my skills and leadership potential earned me a promotion to Project Manager. Now, I oversee projects, work with international clients, and manage responsibilities I once only dreamed of.

I know that none of this would have been possible without ZSSP’s support. They not only funded my education but also gave me the confidence to break barriers. Inspired by their mission, I am now determined to give back—to mentor young women and help them embrace their potential.

With gratitude in my heart, I know this is just the beginning. As I rise, I will make sure to lift others along the way.
